Meet Laya

Occupational Therapist

Hi, I’m Laya. I’m an Occupational Therapist and completed my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Charles Sturt University. I’ve worked within the disability sector since 2007 across a variety of roles, bringing a broad range of experience to my work with children and families.

I’m passionate about supporting children through play, family-centred practice, sensory regulation and feeding. I particularly enjoy finding practical and meaningful ways to support children to participate in everyday life, while working alongside families to understand each child’s individual strengths and needs.

I’ve completed additional professional development in Paediatric Occupational Therapy Assessment and Intervention, LEGO® Based Therapy, the SOS Approach to Feeding, Interoception and Sensory Modulation.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors, listening to country music, creating art and, most importantly, enjoying good food with family and friends. I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm and energy to the GROW team!
